Christian teaching at Nashville African Church

Our story

Rooted in Nashville.
Open to the nations.

Our story began with a vision: a church where African refugees and immigrants could worship, hear Scripture and share fellowship in a place that felt like home. Nashville African Church was established in 2016.

Members of our congregation come from Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Burundi, alongside people from other ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We value the faith and relationships that bring us together.

Our faith and purpose

Jesus Christ.
The centre of our life together.

Our mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, proclaim His message to the nations and provide support to people. Worship gatherings, teaching, discussions and fellowship help us pursue that purpose as a not-for-profit church.

We adhere to the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God. Our faith shapes the way we worship, learn and seek to grow as disciples.
